Mobile Notary FAQs
What is a Notary Public?
A Notary Public is a person of proven integrity commissioned by the government to serve the public as an impartial witness in administering oaths and affirmations, taking acknowledgements, and performing other acts as authorized by the law.
What is a Mobile Notary?
A Mobile Notary is a Notary Public who travels to various locations to provide notarial services. Unlike a traditional Notary Public, a Mobile Notary will travel to the customer’s location to perform notary services. As a Mobile Notary, I am available to travel to your location in Perry, Juniata, Dauphin, and Cumberland Counties, and throughout Central Pennsylvania.
Why are documents notarized?
To deter fraud, and to comply with state and federal laws. The Notary serves as an impartial witness to ensure that the signers of documents are who they say they are and not impostors. The Notary also assures that the signers have entered into agreements both knowingly and willingly.
